Jobs Australia Insurance Update (January 11, 2022):
Jobs Australia supports a vast network of not-for-profit organizations and offers the Blanket Cover Insurance Program through Marsh. This program has been tailored over 30 years to provide broad coverage at competitive rates for the not-for-profit sector. A summary of coverage details is included in the attached document.

How to Access the Blanket Cover Insurance Program:

Membership:

  • Membership subscription is $2.25 per Men’s Shed member per year (GST included).
  • Quotes will be prorated for mid-year memberships.

Insurance Subscription Fee:

  • The Blanket Cover Insurance Program subscription is $35.75 per Men’s Shed member per year (GST included), with a minimum requirement of ten members.
  • Contents insurance is included, based on the declared content value and location (see section 23 on page 8 of the application form).

Price Increases:

  • To support our members, Jobs Australia will cap potential price increases at 7.5% for the 2022-2023 financial year.

Building Insurance:
For sheds that own buildings, coverage is provided separately through Marsh. Complete sections 24-26 on page 9 of the application form for a building insurance quote.

Excess Reduction:
Jobs Australia and Marsh are working to reduce the excess on the Public Liability policy, effective from June 30, 2022. For sheds with a claim during this period, Jobs Australia may subsidize up to 80% of the excess based on hardship.

  1. Complete the attached insurance application form, filling in the following sections:

    • State Split of Your Business Activities
    • Directors and Officers
    • Crime
    • Claims
    • Contents Insurance
  1. For building insurance, complete sections 24-26 on page 9.
