Repair and Restore

Men’s Sheds are not only places where members work on new projects, but they are also hubs for repairing and restoring items. From running repair cafes to fixing household items, if it’s broken, a Shed can likely fix it.

It’s reassuring to know that you can get your household items, especially furniture, repaired or restored. Many Men’s Sheds have skilled members ready to repair that wobbly wheel on your shopping cart or refinish that beloved coffee table.

Sheds are perfect for those odd jobs where you don’t have the skills or the right tool, but the job isn’t significant enough for a tradesman. Often, these repairs can be done in exchange for some baked goods or a donation to the Shed.

Before you throw anything away, check with your local Shed to see if they can fix it or repurpose it into something new.

Repair Cafés

If your local Men’s Shed can’t help you fix it, why not try your local Repair Café? Repair Cafés are free meet-ups where volunteers offer their time, tools, and skills to help repair anything from clothes, bicycles, electrical appliances, furniture, and more.
